Summary
Interaction design, often abbreviated as IxD, shapes how people interact with digital products, environments, systems, and services. This lesson introduces its purpose, its emphasis on user behavior, and the field’s historical development.
Interaction design is the practice of designing interactive digital products, environments, systems, and services. Like other design fields, it considers form, but its central concern is behavior: what a system does and how people can respond to it.
